2026 – April
Our most recent meeting brought together valuable insights and resources for property owners and managers.
The featured speaker, Kevin Sbardella, Executive Director of the Fall River Housing Authority, provided an update on the current state of housing assistance. The authority currently administers approximately 1,800–1,900 vouchers, with no anticipated increases in the near future. He noted that rents in Fall River have begun to level off. An important takeaway was that tenants who are evicted may risk losing their voucher assistance. Historically, wait times for vouchers have been extremely long, ranging from 7 to 9 years.
We also heard from Jack Medeiros of Transamerica, who discussed financial products including life insurance, mutual funds, and loan-to-value (LTV) solutions, with a focus on serving the middle market.
Additionally, Nancy Feeney, President of the Board of Directors of PACE Inc., highlighted a range of support services available to tenants, including food assistance, fuel assistance, childcare programs, and Head Start. These programs offer meaningful support that many tenants can benefit from.
